The business magazine “Capital” today presented Franz Fehrenbach, the chairman of the board of management of Robert Bosch GmbH, with its “Greentech Manager of the Year 2011” award. The award is presented to entrepreneurs and managers who are outstandingly successful in promoting the growth of green technologies.

Bosch Packaging Technology plans to acquire the machinery business companies of Eisai Co., Ltd., one of the leading Japanese pharmaceutical companies based in Tokyo. Respective agreements were signed on February 8th, 2012.

Bosch exceeds growth target
The Bosch Group exceeded its growth target in 2011. According to preliminary figures, this technology and services company generated sales revenue of 51.4 billion euros last year. This is 8.8 percent more than in 2010.

In the “Imageprofile 2012” study conducted by the “Manager Magazin” business magazine, Bosch has been crowned the winner in the industry category. The technology and services provider also climbed to fifth in the overall ranking of the most respected companies, up from eleventh spot in 2008.

The Bosch Group is planning to sell its global foundation brakes business to a newly-formed affiliate of KPS Capital Partners, a leading global private equity firm based in New York City. Agreements to this effect have been signed on January 9, 2012.

Bosch produces its 75 millionth common-rail system
This year, Bosch celebrates its second diesel anniversary: following on from 75 years of diesel in passenger cars, in December the company is celebrating the production of its 75 millionth common-rail system. This technology, which was first used in cars 14 years ago, marked the start of a new image for diesel.

Bosch Packaging Technology expands its Crailsheim location
Bosch Packaging Technology is investing 13 million euros into the expansion of its Crailsheim location. This will create up to 70 local jobs by 2013.
